Don’t let anyone else define the person you are

Exactly an year ago I launched my Blog sharannya.com and I never knew that it will  reach so many of you guys.

To tell you guys the truth, I did English Literature for A/L’s as a subject. Well I wasn’t good at it because unlike some other students in my class I didn’t do it for my O/L’s. There were a few students who were new to the particular subject just like I was.

School wanted me to  drop out from the subject saying that they can’t take responsibility if I fail, some girls did leave lit for another subject while only myself and one other girl stayed. The principal at that time made me stand near her office for a week that made me miss my breakfast and lunch  .By the time  I went to class after being kept waiting outside her office for hours, the next class had already started and I wasn\’t given permission to eat in addition to the fact that I had missed some of the classes. This was all because my parents refused to give a letter to the school saying that the school isn’t responsible for my studies, I mean we all go to school to study and educate ourselves and school is responsible to teach and give us the help we need. My parents were there with me through thick and thin, supporting me every step of the way.

I really do love school but I went through a lot mentally when some of my teachers didn’t support me and never encouraged me to do better, I am not going to lie but I went through mental abuse and was even diagnosed with depression within that particular time frame. Even though I was so good at the other subjects I studied this one incident pulled me down, where at one point all my grades went down, I hated studying and the interest I had gone down as well. I actually made myself believe that I wasn’t good at writing at all because none of my lit teachers (school/tuition) motivated me or the other girls who scored low to do well. This is what one of my friend told me when I said that I was writing about what happened to me, ‘People should know what we went through mentally just to do what we wanted to do’

Well then I met my boyfriend and he one day started to read some of the stuff I was researching for one of my  modules in college and he suggested me to start a blog . I told him how bad I was at writing and it wasn’t my thing. A few weeks later he has made me a blog under my name and he told me to just write anything I like in it. I never wanted to write cause I thought that it will be a joke but then I stared to researching of how covid-19 has effected the fashion Industry and I really couldn\’t stop researching and on this every day an year ago I published my first blog Fashion vs COVID-19, it didn’t stop there .I wrote many more posts  within the past year when ever I could and the views were insane.

No matter what people say if you want to do something, go ahead do it. Do it for you and you won’t regret it. If you want to study something new go head and give it a try. If you want to workout, go to the gym then don’t let anyone stop you. Everything you do should be done because you want to do it not because others are doing it and not because some people want you to do it. If I ever stopped to think what everyone thought of me, I won’t be writing this write now, everyone who knows me knows that I have having been dreaming to become a fashion designer since I was like 6 years old, but now I have fallen in love with blogging and working out as well, it’s all because I did it for me and not for anyone else. One word of encouragement can take you or any other person go a long way even if that is from a stranger. Believe in yourself even if the whole world doesn’t. You can\’t make everybody happy but you, yourself can make you happy, it all up to you. So, DO THIS FOR YOU.

I am so happy to say that I have reached for 3000+ views and 1000+ dedicated visitors within an year. I hope that everyone who read my articles have got the insight they need. I didn\’t even know that I will be writing for so many of you not only locally but also internationally. Thank you all my deducted visitors for reading each of my blog posts.
